The first Chesterfield Green Fair was held on several sites in the town centre;

Main market - around 35 stalls with crafts, local groups, Harvest Swap and a variety of hands on displays.

New Square Arena - various exhibitors vehicles including recycling displays and solar panels.

Adjacent to the Tourist Information Centre - woodland area, wood and forest activities housed in a variety of tents including a large tipi.

Vicar Lane - recycled material sculpture.

Pavements One Day Gallery - for the artists and their work contributing to ‘Papergirl’. More details of that project here.

Entertainment near the Tourist Information Centre and in the main market provided by Brampton Community Band, Birgit Baker-Schellhorn and Madame Zucchini, vegetable cabaret.

Linking the main market to the Tourist Information Centre with free rides was a seven seat ‘Conference’ Bike supplied by CosyBike. The ride was free but you had to pedal!

The event is funded by Chesterfield Borough Council and Derbyshire County Council via the Community Priorities Programme.
