The Inkerman Buzz is all about the theme of Sustainability, Well Being and Community.

The weather was fantastic for the event and around 800 visitors came to the park, about a 30% increase over last year!

The sustainability displays drew a lot of attention, in particular the self built wind turbine brought by Engineers Without Borders, pedal powered water fountain and smoothie making by Transition Chesterfield. Transition also provided hand powered flour mill to grind your own wheat. Chesterfield Borough Council gave out free light bulbs and power save plugs and also ran a free prize draw.

Lots of local community groups featured

and a survey done by Friends of the

Inkerman has provided us with some

statistics about our publicity efforts.

Chesterfield Cycle Campaign worked on lots of bikes and many visitors cycled to the event. The ride from Walton was also a success.

The free bus service provided by the

Chesterfield 123 group carried visitors from Walton and the town centre again.

See you next year?
